Research Assistant

We are currently accepting applications for Research Assistants. This is a key position with opportunities for growth and advancement, including opportunities to be an author or acknowledged contributor on peer-reviewed abstracts and manuscripts. The incumbent will work closely with senior staff and clients on various projects. Qualified applicants will be asked to submit writing samples and will receive skills testing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts extensive searches of the medical literature (PubMed/MEDLINE, EMBASE, and Google Scholar)
  • Analyzes and evaluates studies and data and summarizes results
  • Contributes to writing, editing, and producing abstracts, manuscripts, reports, posters, and proposals
  • Assists with meeting notes and other project management tasks as needed
  • May assist with primary data collection projects, such as IRB submissions
  • May receive cross-training in advanced analytical tasks, including SAS/Excel programming and modeling

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a relevant discipline)
  • Experience in a healthcare or medical setting; knowledge of AMA style and the publications process a definite plus
  • Previous research experience preferred
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Research Associate/Project Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and management of outcomes studies across a wide array of therapeutic areas
  • Ensure timely completion of project tasks and client deliverables
  • Assist in proposal and protocol development
  • Conduct data analyses and statistical/economic modeling in Excel, SAS, and/or other programs
  • Manage and mentor junior research staff
  • Participate in the publication process

Competencies:

  • Strong technical skills
  • Proficiency with relevant software (e.g., SAS, Microsoft Excel, decision analysis software)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and management skills

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Economics, Health Policy, Epidemiology, or Biostatistics with 3+ years of experience in research-oriented healthcare consulting
  • Excellent computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel
  • Publications record
